Character Bio
Philip Burton is a businessman who recently bought a share in the ARC, when the government decided it should be partly in private ownership.
Philip began his career as a scientist but as he started to make money, he realised he enjoyed being a businessman more. He's now the multi-millionaire owner of Prospero Industries, where the new ARC headquarters are based. Although Connor is a fan of Philip's, he isn't trusted by Lester, Matt or Abby.
His interest lies with the anomalies and how they can be used. He appears to find the creatures a nuisance, in episode 4.4 he ordered all the creatures held in the ARC to be destroyed and was only persuaded to change his mind when Lester pointed out that history may not look kindly on such an act.
When Danny Quinn returned to the present day, he told Matt that he'd read Helen Cutter's papers and knew there was connection between her and Burton. he warned Matt not to trust Burton. In episode 4.6, Connor told Philip of a startling discovery he'd made about the anomalies, Philip seemed more concerned that Connor had made the discovery than of the discovery itself.
