Character Bio

Matt Anderson is the mysterious team leader in series 4. He joined the team with a military background and has been decorated for heroism, though conversations between him and his father, Gideon, seem to indicate that some manipulation took place to secure Matt his position in the ARC team.

In the series 4 finale, Matt admitted to Emily that he and his father are from the future, a very bleak future. They were both sent back in time to prevent some unspecified (and possibly unknown) event connected to the anomalies that will leave the surface of the Earth barren. The team do not know about Matt's mission, or that he's from the future.
